This piece features a bamboo framework made from a thick walled species of Vietnamese bamboo. Many people have never seen very thick walled bamboo like this. Using this Vietnamese bamboo makes constructing frameworks much easier because of its strength and ability to hold a nail and screw while being resistant to splitting. This allows me to be more creative with the use of actual bamboo.
