The
framing for this piece was made from salvaged wood. My
commercial art studio is located in an industrial area where
wood was often being thrown away and ultimately headed to
Maui’s landfills. I have made arrangements with several
businesses and cabinet shops to reuse this wood in a creative
way, while helping our island environment.
The print's size is 7.5” x 10” and features a torn paper edge.
There is a sheet of acrylic Plexiglas which protects the print
and can slide in and out for easy cleaning.

The Pineapple was first introduced
into Hawaii in the early 1800's by Don Francisco de Paula y
Marin, the Spanish advisor to King Kamehameha I. Commercial
pineapple plantations were established in the late 19th
century and ushered in the Plantation Era of Hawaiian history.
Pineapple fields still dot the Hawaiian landscape today and
remind us of Old Hawaii.
This edition is limited to 250
