"This painting was created using a glazing technique with acrylics on a gallery wrapped canvas.  The sides of the painting are painted and staple free.  This piece can be hung without framing.  

Traditionally the Honu or Sea Turtle was a guardian for the ancient Hawaiian family.   Sea turtles are currently an endangered species.  Petroglyphs are a favorite subject of mine and I am very pleased with the dramatic red hues of this piece."
