"This painting was created using both direct painting and glazing techniques.   The colors are truly vibrant and Alkyd paints do not become brittle with age (a problem with traditional oil paints)  The pigments used in this painting include Indian Yellow, Alizarin Crimson and Raw Umber."     

"I kept the color palette limited to 3 warm colors.  The beauty of the Alkyd paints reveals itself in it's jewel like colors.  There is some light ink cross hatching as well.  I am very pleased with this painting "
