This painting was created using both direct painting and glazing techniques.   The colors are very rich and luminous.  There is a lot of detail in this painting which allows the eye to move about the canvas and discover new areas to examine.  The pigments used in this painting include Ultramarine Blue, Windsor Red, Windsor Yellow and Paynes Grey.
