Hawaiian Surfer

This Petroglyph is carved on natural slate and includes bamboo and jute wall hanger. The carving is done by hand and is accentuated with a pigment and the stone is then sealed.

Surfing was started by the Polynesians and was first documented by Captain Cook during his visit to Hawaii Islands during the 1700's.  The first surfboards were made of solid wood and could weigh over 150 pounds.

This item will be shipped by Insured Express Mail through the Post Office ($31.00).
